It is strictly forbidden to enter grocery stores with animals according to the regulations of the law of the European Community Nr. 852/2004. This applies not only to supermarkets, but also to butchers, bakeries, and even pharmacies if they sell nutritional supplements.

There is no ban on visiting a cafe or a clothing store yet, so each store owner decides on his own.

🔹 In Berlin, from June 8, 2022, all cats that walk on the street without an owner must be sterilized. Neutering is allowed for cats older than 6 months.

🔹 In the city of Waldorf, from April 1 to August 31 until 2025, it is forbidden to let cats go outside to protect the crested lark.

All animals in Germany must be registered. Dogs must always carry a numbered tag. Most often, registration can be done online on the city's website.
