  1. Our family has medical insurance from VKK, which includes our adult children...I have a question. My daughter’s friend is sick, but he lives here recently and has not yet taken out medical insurance...can she cover him under our insurance?

    1. Hello.

In general, health insurance taken out for a single family member or for a family usually covers only those who are immediate members of that family and are named on the policy. This means that friends or others not included in the insurance policy generally cannot use the insurance for medical services.

In the case of your daughter and her friend who has not yet signed up for his own health insurance, he most likely will not be able to use your family VKK insurance. In such situations, it is usually recommended to seek medical care directly, pay for the services yourself, or take out temporary insurance for it.
