Price
(If the vehicle has been owned for more than 6 months): Free of charge. It is forbidden to sell the vehicle within a year from the date of registration. (If the vehicle has been owned for less than 6 months): 19% + 10% of the value of the vehicle in the DCT. The course can be found by entering the Datenbank Wechselkurse into the Zoll search engine. Payment by cash or EU-Card.
Preparing for a trip to Zulassungsstelle
What is needed:
1. eVB Nummer for insurance
- If you have certificates of accident-free driving, write to the insurance company’s hotline or go to the office. The insurance company has every right not to accept your certificates. Try all available insurance companies. According to the law, accident-free experience from European territory is recognized. We have successful cases of seniority recognition from former Soviet bloc countries. Write to support@finber.de or fill out Free.
- If you do not have certificates of accident-free driving, open any aggregator and choose your favorite SC there.
2. (optional but faster): Reserve and pay for car numbers
- Enter wunschkennzeichen reservieren your_city into the search engine.
- Choose your favorite combination of letters and numbers.
- Book rooms.
- Pay for the order, get the numbers by mail.

Fahrzeugbrief (Teil 1, Teil 2). German numbers with a sticker on them. We buy a sticker on the windshield (Umweltplakette) in the same place.
